Big push on the narrative essay - fill out the narrative outline and begin writing the narrative The introduction should be finished by the end of the class period, if not, it's homework and needs to be completed by Tuesday, September 30th 1. Finish up worksheet on commas, semicolons, and colons
2. Read "Self-Reliance" on page 185 and have class discussion on what it means to be self reliant in today's society 1. Worksheet reviewing comma, semi colons and colons.

Read "from the Interesting Life of Equiano Olaudoh" on pages 53-57 in the Literature Book and answer questions 7, 8 and 10 on page 63 4. If time, begin introduction on the narrative. 1. Do the "Quickwrite," making and filling in a KWL graph on page 51 in the Literature Book 4. Read "from the Interesting Life of Equiano Olaudoh" on pages 53-57 in the Literature Book and answer questions 7, 8 and 10 on page 63 If you need to use the Elements of Literature or the Elements of Language textbooks for homework, you can check them out in the SHS Library from Mrs. Rabner.
1. Read "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" by Jonathan Edwards in the Literature Book on page 46. It is also available online.
2. "Road Map" Create a timeline from the time you were born until the present. Write as many things as you can remember. 3. "I Remember" Using the topic for your narrative, list as many things as you can remember. It does not have to be in order. 4. Semicolons - on page 804 in the Language of Literature book, read the information concerning semicolons and do the practice exercise on page 805. In the Literature Book, read "from the Narrative of the Captivity of Mary Rowlandson on pages 37-42. List the important events in chronological order (a timeline) and do the "Vocabulary Development" on page 43.
